Third Thursday Art Night: Batik

Enjoy an evening of batiking with Foundry artist and FACES exhibitor, Lisa Martin. Materials supplied to create a 18”x 18” batik with 3 colors and the name or word of your choice.  Suitable to frame, sew into a pillow or as a holiday runner. Class size is limited. $25/CCCA or FACES members, $30/non-members, Ages 16 and up. Beginner friendly.

About Your Instructor

Lisa Martin first took painting lessons in junior high and painted all through high school. She has received her bachelor of Arts in Art Education from Frostburg State College, 30 credits from Maryland Institute College Art, and a Master’s in Education from Salisbury University. Lisa taught at a variety of elementary and middle schools for 15 years, and then at Colonel Richardson High school for 12 years. She works weekly during the spring, summer and fall with the Plein Air Painters of the Chesapeake Bay (formerly Plein Air Painters of the Eastern Shore), and as time permits, at home in her studio. She enjoys painting flowers, gardens, landscapes, beaches, birds, and places she has traveled to.
