Denton Artsway Mainstreet Banners: Community Paint Day!

Calling all artists and community members! Join us for a fun-filled day of creativity and collaboration at our upcoming Community Paint Day. The Caroline County Council of Arts, in partnership with Town of Denton and Downtown Denton Main Street, wants to include our community in the first-ever Denton Artsway Mainstreet Banners Program by having you all paint one side of EACH banner!

Together, we will paint large, colorful banners that will be displayed throughout our community, showcasing our local talent and bringing joy to all who see them.

No artistic experience is necessary – just bring your enthusiasm and a willingness to get your hands dirty! Our team of experienced artists will provide guidance and materials, so you can unleash your creativity and contribute to this exciting community project.

This is a great opportunity to connect with your neighbors, make new friends, and leave your mark on our community. So grab your paintbrushes and join us for a day of art, fun, and community spirit!

Special thanks to the Maryland State Arts Council for their support of the Denton Artsway, our very own state-designated Arts & Entertainment District.

Featuring 15 banners, each completed by a different local artist, will hang on Market St. in Downtown Denton from April through September 2023. At the end of the year, banners will receive “best of” votes from the community, and each will be auctioned off, with proceeds going to artists and banner program for next year. Let’s celebrate “Community”, featuring unique works of art created by YOU!
