Heartfelt Ornaments Workshop with Forest Fired Pottery

February 3rd & 17th from 11am-1pm @ The Foundry

Join us for a delightful clay class hosted by the talented ceramic artist and owner of Forest Fired Pottery, Sharon Guzman! In this workshop, participants will have the unique opportunity to create charming clay hearts filled with musical beads, perfect for hanging on walls or adorning your space as lovely ornaments. Under Sharon‘s expert guidance, you’ll explore the art of clay sculpting, adding a personal touch to each heart.

“Have you ever wanted to hand-build a pottery project, but felt intimidated and not sure where to begin? Or maybe you have some experience. This new pottery class is for every age, person, and experience level.

Have you been thinking you want to give your valentine something unique, in addition to that box of chocolate and flowers? The “Puffy Heart” pottery project is for you!
It can be gifted to your Valentine or YOU can be your very own Valentine.  This class is a perfect oppourtunity to get your hands muddy, create beautiful art and introduce yourself to clay.
The Foundry and Forest Fired Pottery will provide clay, tools and all the knowledge you need to create a beautifully glazed puffy heart, that can be displayed on your wall.
Please wear comfortable clothing you don’t mind getting a little mud on. It will wash out.
We’ll leave our stress at the door and have a peaceful and fun experience together, creating art!

While the class is scheduled for two days, each session is a standalone experience. Craft your heart-shaped ornament, pick your favorite glaze, and let Sharon take your creations back to the studio for firing in the kiln. In 2-4 weeks, receive a notification via email or text to collect your finished masterpieces. Let your creativity take shape in this artistic adventure!
