Join us for a delightful journey into the world of clay and flowers with our upcoming pottery class, “Floral Impressions,” led by the talented artist and instructor, Sharon Guzman.

In Sharon’s own words: “So many flowers bloom during June, you can’t list them all. In June we’ll be highlighting and pressing into clay, flowers from your garden, or your window sill or your grandma’s place. Hey, we’ll even work with flowers that grow at Food Lion or the ones for sale in the aisle at Walmart. Faux flowers can work for this pottery class. Maybe there are some very cool grasses you’ve seen that you would like to press into clay and preserve forever. If so, this class is for you. Please plan ahead and bring your favorites, or no stress, I will also bring a variety of plant shapes and flowers to share with everyone in the class.

We’ll use a rectangle or oval shape slab of clay- your choice. We’ll press your flowers, emboss your name or a saying into the clay. Then you choose your glaze colors and the piece will be fired and available for pick up as soon as they are fired and complete.
