Have you ever wanted to paint “nothing and everything” all at the same time? This is your chance!
This class will teach you the fundamentals of painting your moods and dreams without any realism, putting it all on the canvas. Students will learn the theory and technique behind abstract painting and the emotions motivating the work. Week one will be the theory of abstract art and brainstorming and sketching out your ideas on how to put all that you are feeling on the canvas. Week’s two and three will be the hands on painting process of creating an abstract work of art of your own!
Steve Mead has his BFA in fine art and his Master’s degree in elementary education. This class is appropriate for all ages from 5 to 105 years old!
Materials needed: 11×14 canvas, flat and round brushes, acrylic paints, pencils, old rags, and shapes to trace
