Third Thursday – Fun at The Foundry!

Join us for Fun at The Foundry! We will have extended hours from 5-7 pm, so stop by to socialize, shop, and even craft with Maryland tile artist Parran Collery. Parran will be creating our “From the Heron’s Eye” public art mural. The community is invited to make clay flowers that will be incorporated into the piece at this event. The program is free but registration is encouraged to ensure that we have enough supplies on hand.

We also will have check in for Plein Air at The Foundry. Every third Thursday through October after 5 pm, historic downtown Denton hosts an open-air market, music, corn hole, extended hours, and specials by shops and restaurants. During these warm summer months, CCCA invites artists of all abilities to capture the spirit of Denton.

CCCA is partnering with Downtown Denton Main Street (DDMS) to promote the Denton Artsway. Artists are invited to infuse the streets of Denton with live painting every Third Thursday until October 2018 from 5-7 pm. At the end of the season, paintings can be submitted for consideration for a special exhibit with prizes that will be held at the Foundry in October.

Check-in before you start painting at the Foundry to get your canvas stamped or to purchase a plein air kit for $15.
Find a spot anywhere the festivities are taking place, paint and enjoy.

Plein air paint kits for youth and adults are available for purchase at The Foundry. Adult kits are $15, and youth kits are $10. They include an 8×10 board canvas, acrylic paint set, a palette and paintbrushes. Single canvases are also available for purchase for $2 each.
