Pizza Empire and the Caroline County Council of Arts (CCCA) are seeking artist applicants and proposals for a large-scale mural located in historic downtown Denton, MD within the local A&E District. Artists are invited to explore their own creativity and may or may not use local subject material as inspiration. Collaboration between the artists is invited as well, and artwork may spill into one another’s panels upon approval by the artist and/or group. Six different artists will be selected to participate, each given an approximate 9’ x 10’ space on exterior wall. Each artist will be awarded up to $1500 to cover design, materials and artwork. Scaffolding will be provided as needed, free of charge to the artist(s).
