Open Studio Mosaic Classes!

Attention all aspiring artists and crafters! Have you ever wanted to learn the art of creating beautiful mosaics? If so, then this beginners mosaic class is just for you!
In this class, you will learn the basics of creating mosaics using glass tiles. Our experienced instructor, Artist Joanne Gelles, will guide you through each step of the process, from choosing a design(anything you’d like! Sailboats, flowers, fish, your pet, or anything you can think of) to grouting your finished masterpiece.
No prior experience is necessary, and all materials will be provided. You will have access to a wide variety of colorful glass tiles, as well as tile nippers, adhesive, grout, and a mosaic base.
By the end of this class, you will have created your very own unique mosaic that you can take home and proudly display. You will also have gained the skills and confidence to continue creating mosaics on your own.

Join us for one class and do an 8″ x 10″ mosaic, or for two or more sessions you can do a 12″ x 14″ project. You can sign up for as many of the open workshops as you’d like in order to finish your project; if you can’t come one week just sign up for the next week. For ages 8 and above.
The final session for the month will be about how to grout and finish your project.
