About Marcie Wolf-Hubbard (Silver Spring, MD): Artist Instructor & Artist In Residence @ The Foundry April 4th-6th | April 11th-13th
The CCCA is thrilled to host Marcie Wolf-Hubbard as our latest artist in residence. Marcie, also our artist of the month, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the program.
She holds a B.A. in Studio Art from the University of Maryland and pursued further studies in Fine Art and Illustration at the Maryland Institute, College of Art. Marcie’s paintings have graced numerous exhibitions along the East Coast, and her talents extend to courtroom sketching and illustrations for various publications.
Beyond her impressive portfolio, Marcie is a seasoned instructor, having taught at esteemed institutions such as Glen Echo Park, Yellow Barn Studios, and The Smithsonian. She now conducts virtual classes from her studio, fostering artistic communities that transcend physical boundaries.
In Marcie’s words, “The focus on art alleviates anxiety and nurtures creativity.” We eagerly anticipate Marcie’s impact on the Denton community and eagerly await her residency, where her work and teachings will flourish. Let’s extend a warm Denton welcome to Marcie Wolf-Hubbard!
