Artist of the Month: Marcie Wolf-Hubbard

Marcie Wolf-Hubbard (Silver Spring, MD)

Artist Instructor & Artist In Residence @ The Foundry

 April 6-8th | April 12-14th

The CCCA is pleased to welcome Marcie Wolf-Hubbard as the latest artist in residence at The Foundry. Marcie, who is also the artist of the month, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the program.

Marcie received her B.A. in Studio Art from the University of Maryland and continued her studies in Fine Art and Illustration at the Maryland Institute, College of Art. Her paintings have been exhibited extensively on the East Coast, and she has also worked as a courtroom artist and illustrated for magazines and books.

In addition to her impressive portfolio, Marcie is an accomplished instructor, teaching at various institutions, including Glen Echo Park, Yellow Barn Studios, and The Smithsonian. She has transitioned to teaching virtually from her studio and finds that the focus on art brings people out of isolation and into a creative community.

As Marcie says, “The attention to art has lifted anxiety and inspired us all to continue creating.” We are excited to see the impact Marcie will have on the Denton community and look forward to seeing her work and teaching in action during her residency. Please join us in welcoming Marcie Wolf-Hubbard to Denton!
