Featured Artist of the Month: Marcie Wolf-Hubbard
We are thrilled to announce that Marcie Wolf-Hubbard has been selected as our Featured Artist of the Month. Her exceptional artwork will be showcased at The Foundry for the entire month, and we can’t wait for everyone to see it!
Marcie’s talent is undeniable. She received her B.A. in Studio Art from the University of Maryland and continued her studies in Fine Art and Illustration at the Maryland Institute, College of Art. Her paintings have been exhibited extensively on the East Coast, and she has also worked as a courtroom artist and illustrated for magazines and books.
What sets Marcie apart, however, is her dedication to teaching. She is an accomplished instructor who has taught at various institutions, including Glen Echo Park, Yellow Barn Studios, and The Smithsonian. Despite the challenges of the past year, Marcie has transitioned to teaching virtually from her studio and has found that art brings people out of isolation and into a creative community.
According to Marcie, “The attention to art has lifted anxiety and inspired us all to continue creating.” We can’t wait to see the impact Marcie will have on the Denton community during her residency.
